Ellory is the writer/director of many award-winning short films, including Larger Than Life (produced by Academy Award winner Jamie Selkirk ‘The Lord Of The Rings’ Trilogy) which debuted at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado in 1998.

The film landed Ellory a deal to write and direct the visual effects, creature-feature Eight Legged Freaks (Warner Bros 2002) for the producers of Independence Day that starred Scarlett Johansson.

Ellory has directed 5 feature films in Hollywood including Without A Paddle and two Return Of The Living Dead sequels filmed back-to-back in Romania.

Ellory’s latest short, Still Standing, has been developed into a feature script and optioned by South Pacific Pictures.

Ellory is working on a number of projects with NZ and US writers and producers. He is currently repped by Marc Manus at Zero Gravity (Ozark, The Accountant) and APA in Los Angeles. He is currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.
